Clearing out the dance floor at a wedding...

Postby Fueco on Sun Oct 18, 2009 4:24 am

I managed to kill the dancing at my brother's wedding by requesting I'm On My Way... Only Joan and I and my brother and his wife were dancing... Oddly though, people were dancing later to I'm Gonna Be. :?:

We did the same at my sister's wedding with Life With You. My family and the bride (God, love her!).

Well, yes, but considering that the chicken dance brings people to the floor in droves, it's not much of a barometer of good taste in music!

So this regular type guy is just walking down this empty street with his luv and this crazed middle aged woooman runs up and yells "It"s Fueco!" and hugs him, erm, what is this world coming to.
How can anyone not dance to I'm On My Way, it begs choreography. Shows good taste to me.

You're right, Angie. Dancing is pathetic only when it's apologetic. Go for it, Fueco!

Yep, but just home made so the quality isn't fantastic. I buy iron-on sheets that go through the printer. The back has an image of the Haver Board Index screen

You know, a funny one this - 500 miles cleared the floor at my mate's birthday party last weekend - I danced to it solo - with some air guitar and half-decent procs impressions - in front of the whole 50 people there and got a pretty good cheer, shame no-one believed me when I told them I hadn't requested it, or when I said I wasn't drunk - both of these were true! Did request I'm On My Way later at the suggestion of my friend but the DJ, brace yourselves, didn't have it! Ah well, what's the world coming to, looks like minority still means us!

Still, performing live at my local pub tomorrow night - so I get to choose the music - among the tracks Free Market, That's When He Told Her, I'm Gonna Be and my all new cover of Notes and Rhymes! Not getting paid though so don't worry - nothing sinister. ;)

thanks - went great, closed on I'm Gonna Be and got my first ever encore - the latter wasn't a procs song unfortunately, but oh well - sometimes a proclaimers song does work wonders on an audience :)
