Hi Again

Postby lifewithyou on Tue Nov 03, 2009 7:54 pm

Hi all

It's been 3 years since I posted here. I joined amid a furore about Bruce Springsteen. I am a big fan of the "Boss" and came on here with some misguided thoughts of defending his honour. What I found was a really nice bunch of people, Alan, Fran and Gerri to name 3. Not sure if you guys are still here. If you are hello again.

Anyway, finally I am going to see the Proclaimers. This Saturday in Aberdeen. Love the new album and really looking forward to the show. Friend of mine saw them in Oxford a few weeks ago and said it was a fantastic show but a bit rushed as there was a 10pm curfew.

Hope you are all well and the past 3 years have been good to you...

Hugh

Welcome back to the forums.

Fran and Gerri are still here, we don't hear much from Alan these days, dont know what happened to him. There are still a few others from that time around.

Thanks Livi Crazy.

Spent a happy 90 minutes in the Livi end of a game against Aberdeen many years ago. Livi were 1st division and knocked aberdeen out of the cup that night. Fans were great, had a band playing all game and they threw confetti everywhere as the teams came on. It was like Argentina 78!!

Been good thanks Rebe. Brucie has been very active lately so I have been over to Dublin a few times to see him. And he set foot back on Scottish soil for the first time since Robert the Brucie saw him play at the Playhouse in Edinburgh back in about 1302..so it's been a great summer....

Hi
Attended my first Proclaimers show last night. Sunshine on Leith was worth the price of admission alone. It was oustanding. Could not get the song out of my head all night. Woke up at 5AM singing it.

Great gig, hope I get to see them again..going to take my daughter the next time. How many times have they played Aberedeen and I did not go...! Grrr

And they played Life With You...

Its so true! And it's great when we can meet up from time to time. Sometimes other people just "don't get" this Proclaimers thing! They are missing something I can tell ya! :D :D Its so much more than the music really. Its a common bond but we have fun on here I think! :D :D
