High: Decided to make the family trip late on Friday to the Leeds gig (last one we can reasonably get to)
Low: Finding that the "box office"charge an extra 12.5% "service charge" on top of face value to sell the ticket - that amounts to almost the price of another ticket and with all the other expense involved just pushed it over the edge - No concert.
Deep low: all afternoon and evening imagining what and where

The "service charge" is apparently to fund the sub-contract web site and call centre; the people you'd rather not be dealing with in the first place. I don't think that I am being 'tight' this is a large percentage to add. Surely the theatre gets something out of the face value of the ticket; isn't their job to sell tickets and not sub-contract to someone else. Of course the theatre "can't do anything about it". I paid reasonable service charges on all the other gigs - a few pounds/percent to cover credit card, postage etc. This was just too much...

High: I've made it as far as the Vancouver airport - first of three legs done. And of course, that must mean that I'm On My Way!!

Low: I forgot the cord to recharge my iPod!! Oh dear.

Not sure if this is a high or a low: My husband insists that my 8 month old took a step by herself yesterday! She's been cruising around on furniture for more than a month so it is not a big surprise, but I wish she would agree to stay a baby a bit longer.

High: I didn't see the step so I can pretend it didn't happen for a while longer. :)
