I wish I could. I am playing the set list now and counting down the time until it is physically not possible to get there for the gig. In the back of my mind is a little voice saying "Go,go, you can still get there, it's not too far". In practice it is possible to get there traffic allowing by leaving right up until 3:30 although in reality it would be so late back that it can't work. The other (sensible) voice is saying "Too far, school for the children tomorrow".

Have a great time!

They faded to be replaced by "they'll be on stage doing x, y and z by now".

My husband would like to get some of those voices in my mind an amplifier.

Phew! I went through all of last Friday thinking - "If I leave now I can be in Leeds to see the gig". That went on till 2pm. When 8:30pm came I was saying - "They will just be going on stage - and starting to sing "Well I'm happy now!"" The misery somewhere was in Essex! I thought I was the only one who went through those moments with those thoughts. Thank you! I feel normal!

I won't go so far as to say that we're normal David. But at least we can all commiserate  .

The thing to keep in mind is that Ginger & I are on another continent listening to those voices.
And yes, Ginger could probably use an amplifier for hers. :D

Thanks, Yan.

I fully understand where you are coming from on this. And, anyway I've always regarded normality as an overated thing :D

Me too. But they've gone again cos there's no one to watch the kids...

And 'yes' that really is the only factor at this point! DEFINATELY can't say that's 'normal'
