Import, maybe it is the single disc, imported from US, renamed for copyright reasons. Copyright infringement rules the world. But that doesn't make any sense. US release is Decca.

Possibly, but the release date is the same as the first U.S. tour date.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see... 8) 8)

Saaaaay, wouldn't it be cool if it was an acoustic album. Just a thought.
Still can't figure out why it says it is an import though, and the label.
Such a mystery. And yes, I do notice who isn't posting, uh huh.

I e-mailed the powers that be when this thread started. I asked if this was a genuine "Proclaimers" album which should be purchased or a bogus one which should be avoided. I asked them to advise. As yet no reply has been forthcoming. I'll let you know if I hear something!

Well, still no response from the Proclaimers' Management, but Amazon have now issued a picture of the album cover. Here is the link:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Notes-Petals-Pr ... 560&sr=8-1

Had a good look? Interesting isn't it! Why on earth is it called Notes and Petals, when it clearly says Notes and Rhymes on the cover? And another thing - if you look at the songs listed on the front the third song is wrongly titled - it says "It was so easy to find an unhappy woman"
When of course it should read: "It was always so easy to find an unhappy woman". Someone, somewhere is letting C&C down. Dodgy if you ask me :!:

Yes, you are right Twinkle "a silly mistake" - but I am still trying to get my mind around why Amazon persist in calling it "Notes and Petals" when it is obviously "Notes and Rhymes". And as I have already conceded - a silly mistake, maybe - but the sort of silly mistake you would find on a CD you might find at a dodgy car boot sale - not from a reputable retailer like Amazon, selling merchandise from a professional manufacturer, at a price which is £4.81 more expensive than a readily available album.

I await to see what is remarkably different with this album that it should warrant a release in this country.

I will come down from my high horse now and give myself a slap!!!!

Yeah you don't expect that mistakes from Amazon. Also you don't expect iTunes to mix up 'our' Procs with other religious group with the same name - but they do mix them up - check iTunes store, LWY is under the 'other' Proclaimers :?

Facebook says "Notes & Rhymes in USA stores Sept 8th".

So there you go.
I didn't realize it wasn't available in the U.S. yet.

Don't know why on earth Amazon UK would bother "importing" it from the USA though?!? :?
