Just a word of warning, the company dealing with it are pretty poor IMO. I ordered the t-shirt (saltire Edin castle one) about 4 weeks ago, I ordered a large, recieved the order within the week, however an extra large had been sent. Not a problem, I emailed them, and had an email back in a couple of days saying they would send out a large, I sent an email, asking if I would have to send back the extra large. 2 weeks on, I have not recieved an email back despite sending a couple, nor have I recieved a t-shirt. So I have an extra large t-shirt sitting waiting for any kind of reply. The service is very poor.

Anyone else had any problems.

I ordered a t-shirt, mug and key chain. As you can imagine, shipping to Canada was fairly expensive. I bought as much stuff as I could to stay just under the minimum shipping charge, and when the package came, it was just the mug and keychain. They said that they were out of the t-shirt, so they just sent the other two. The shipping was about twice the cost of the merch. And even at that, they charged 3 pounds too much. I e-mailed them about it and have heard nothing back. That was over a month ago.

I'm not impresssed.

I am giving them another 2 weeks to rectify the problem. If not, I am taking my complaint to their "bosses" in this situation, the Proclaimers admin (they have paid this company to provide a service to the fans and they have failed in doing so. Anyone else who has had problems, post here and I'll also mention it in a future email, the service off of this bunch is appalling, and I cant see any other way to go about it.

If in two weeks there are enough complaints and I still haven't received my correct t-shirt or any kind of contact to confirm either way I may very well have to take it further. I'll see then, and get more details then if we still have a problem.

Non-members viewing: if you have ordered from this service and also had a poor service can you join and post, the more people we have with a complaint, the stronger the point.

Fran: any chance of putting this as a sticky thread for a while, to make sure it doesnt get ignored. And could you change the title to "Problem with Official Merchandising"

I would like the problem to be sorted out, no matter which way we go about it. It would be alright if we paid a reasonable price, but when I'm not even getting a good service I feel ripped off after paying £14 for a t-shirt with £4 postage (remember its only going £15 miles along the road for me, it doesnt even cost that on the bus)

I've come to the conclusion that these guys are just ignoring me now, I've sent the same email twice in the last week (in case they didnt get it) and no reply. I'm glad that the Proclaimers got official merchandise this time around, but I hope that they get a better suppliet next time.

Finally got in contact with them (well actually my mum did), through the phone. Apparently they have been snowed under, I'll take that with a pinch of salt, but I've been told to keep the extra large, and he will send me a large tomorrow, so fingers crossed.

Also I had mentioned to my mum the problem you had Ginger, and being the sort of woman that likes to sort out everything, she mentioned it to the guy. He says get in contact with him with your details and the problem, and he will sort it out. So contact Darren Brown at webshops@officialmerchandising.com

Tehy are probably a merch outfit for lots of other things too Livi, but it still doesn't explain the non reply of emails. Surely someone could be taken on part-time to answer emails. It does not inspire confidence when you are hanging on for a reply. They should send you your teeshirt free of charge Ginger. They are either badly organised or have taken on too much.

On the other hand - they could be waiting for bulk orders before ordering more teeshirts, and if that's the case it's just not on.
If you don't get on this board, I'll come round yer 'ouse and stamp on all your cd's

They are pretty poor, and although they say "they are snowed under" I dont take that literally, I just believe they are in incompetent company. However they have said they will post out my t-shirt today, and I will believe that for now and see where I am in a couple of weeks. I hope that you get your problem sorted out Ginger, but blatantly ignoring emails, and effectively not fulfilling a promise is not a good sign for a company.

IF this large does eventually come, I'll be selling on my extra large as it is no use to me, so if anyone is interested in it, I will be listing it on ebay, but will tell this site a couple days before, I would rather someone on here got it if they want it.

OK, credit where credit is after much "harrasment" by my mum, I'm not that sort of person, they have finally (with a new guy doing the work) sent out the correct order. The bonus is I get to keep the wrong sized t-shirt, plus he has put in a free t-shirt and one of the limited edition programmes. Both the XL t-shirt and programme will be put on sale on ebay tonight.

Now though they may have been slow, I believe they deserve credit for this proper apology, if I had bought all that stuff (including the wrong sized t-shirt) that would have set me back £50 (£54 inc postage). However, I only had to pay the original price, of £14 (£18 with postage).

They have semi-redeemed themselves in my eyes.

I have just seen your posts Livi and have registered due to it.
My Wife is a massive fan of the Proclaimers and i ordered her something from the shop for Xmas about half way thru November. After 2 emails (both ignored) and 2 phone calls where on the both occaisions i was promised it would go out that day.....................here i am on Xmas eve and guess what???? No gift! I am pretty pissed to say the least.
I am a member of another fan Forum and they recently relaunched their merchandise shop, there were glitches when i ordered something but after putting a post on a thread the guy who runs the site phoned them and it was sorted in 24 hours.
I am a fan of the Proclaimers but i feel they are really being let down by the poor service from the merchandising people, also maybe the mods of this site should kick a bit more ass?!!

As said above, fortunately they eventually sorted it out. My mum was the one that was phoning them regularly, I'm not very good nagging on a phone, and unfortunately they were ignoring my emails. They did eventually sort out the order, with extra. Still they are not impressive, and I hope they change suppliers soon as I found them to be incompetent.

The only thing I can say is keep calling and persisting, if your still having trouble then it might be worth sending Colin (the Proclaimers admin person, I dont know his official title) an email, and see if he can help, seeing as this will affect the Proclaimers indirectly.

I had no problems with ordering a t-shirt and a mug, was delivered quite quickly and in good package, but for all of you who bought a mug, too: DON'T put it in the dish washing machine! My mug looks like I had been using it daily for 100 years now, the colour is nearly off  My own fault tho...

Hi
Follow on my saga with the merchandising, after another 2 phone calls and emailing Colin on here (he forwarded my emails to the company, which i do not think they got) they FINALLY after a month and a half got to processing my order.........guess what they've run out of Bught park mugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(which was the one i wanted as we attended that concert). They have offered to sent me 2 Edinburgh ones for the price of 1, but after all this fuss not to give my Wife exactly what i wanted is a bit crappy. :(
Craig and Charlie you really need to know that the company doing this are really really not doing you justice............... :(
