Alright I may have done something like this a few years back, but nevermind.

What the aim is, is to pick the best song from the Proclaimers in each of the categories.

The categories aren't really related, just ones that I could think of.

Best Live?
Best on Head/Earphones?
Best Cranked up loud on the hi-fi?
Best Sing-a-long?
Best emotional?
Best uplifting?
Best fun track?
Best Cover?
Best B-Side (preferably different from above)?

And most evil of all......

If you had to choose.

Best Song of All Time?

For me:

Best Live: Joyful Kilmarnock Blues
Best on Earphones: I Know Reprise
Best Cranked up loud on hi-fi: Life With You
Best Sing-a-long: I'm Gonna Be
Best emotional: Act of Remembrance
Best uplifting: Harness Pain
Best fun track: Lets Get Married
Best Cover: Whole Wide World (though King of the Road was close)
Best B-Side: Gentle On My Mind
Best Song Ever: I'm On My Way

These lists are so tough.
The only definite ones for me right now:

Crank it up: Here It Comes Again
Best cover: Gentle On My Mind
B side: They Really Do (I think)

Bobby, I'm very surprised to read this, given our discussions about country classics and Scottish accents. And pleased, by the way!

I know, I know, but it was an emotional thing with this one. Since I sucked it up and listened, Gentle On My Mind must be the best cover of that song ever and I have no doubt some would agree with me from the great beyond. I wish I knew who arranged and produced it. The others will always give me a chuckle.

Sadly, Fueco it is not on an album - it is a B-side song, on the There's a Touch EP CD. (circa 2001).

I got into it when Livi kindly posted a video on YouTube of a black and white session - it is so catchy!

I'm sure there are enough B-Side songs and covers and other songs C&C have done to make a "catch up" album - I know they are not happy with "Finest" but it gave to the fanbase a number of songs they would never have had otherwise!
