Yo, Chris, I am so glad you are enjoying some of the music I suggested.
Now CSN is pot music. Well, it is.
And Johnny Cash, isn't he strong without all the background crap, so powerful.
As for Leonard Cohen, one of my still favorite albums is Jennifer Warnes "Famous Blue Raincoat", Leonard Cohen songs, unlike him, she actually sings, in a very different way. Impeccably produced and just beautiful. I have the original, which includes a duet of Joan of Arc with the two.
My efforts continue, it seems to not be as easy as one would have thought. I have to find the right person, and I will.

Jennifer Warnes lives just a few houses away from us. Imagine my surprise when we had a neighborhood meeting a few years ago on her front lawn. She went around introducing herself as 'Jennifer.' I recognised her, but I'm not sure who else did.

TBH Bobby, I have found just one Johnny Cash song I dislike. One of the amazing things about JCs voice is how it works with any kind of music and still sounds fantastic, he works simply on his own or with a full orchestra or with rock guitars. I love his early stuff like Orange Blossom Special etc, but even more so I love his latter stuff from the Americsn Recordings where he recorded what he wanted and how he wanted to, with the amazing producer Rick Rubin. The only actual weak period in his career is the 80s into the early 90s, which he admits himself were poor times, where his record label treated him like scum as they tried to get a new hip image for the label.

This is my favorite person of the moment, Webb Wilder, as he and his partner will be taking care of my cat while I am off to the West Coast in search of the lads. Since I just went across the street to finalize things, after hours on the computer, he was such a breath of fresh air. He is just so delightful and I love his music and his voice. He lives by his motto, " work hard, rock hard, eat hard, sleep hard, grow up, wear glasses if you need them".

Just recieved Kris Kristofferson's new album, preordered about 2 months back, completely forgot I had done so, and added bonus was it came with a free bonus disc and poster, couldnt believe it. Brilliant of what I have heard so far, Closer to the Bone the title song is fantastic.

This is, in fact, my favorite song of the moment, well, of many moments. Very sweet. Love both these folk.

Thanks for that Bobby-L. It's you alright!

I LOVE The Corr's and I don't listen to them often enough.
My daughter just did her first choreography this past year to Toss the Feathers, so I get lots of warm fuzzies when I hear this tune.
Although this wasn't this version her dance teacher used, these sibs do it best.

But here's my question to you, could she play Cap In Hand anywhere near as well as our Craig? I think NOT!! 8)
Gonna stop in the middle just to talk about the part that really matters

My brother-in-law and his wife had this played at their wedding evening 'do'. It was the first time I'd heard it - although I did know of John Prine's work, thanks for reminding me of it.

My favourite song changes all the time - recent ones include:
'Three More Days', 'Harness Pain', 'The Light', 'Sing all our cares away' by You know who
'Museum Of Childhood' by Jackie Leven
'She' (Elvis Costello version)
'Solitaire' by The Carpenters
'Home thoughts from abroad' by Clifford T Ward
'It suits me well' by Sandy Denny

But if I have to plump for just one, I'll go for one that gets me right there:
